Hey! I'm Andreas. I live in Espoo, Finland and I work with data — building systems, pipelines, and whatever else needs to keep the data flowing. I like solving puzzles, and data engineering is basically just solving puzzles all day.

Experience

Right now I'm heading Teamit's data capabilities. I work extensively with AI systems and am well-versed in utilizing generative AI tools to enhance productivity and build innovative solutions. My work also involves fullstack development and a significant amount of architectural planning and design, ensuring that the systems we build are scalable, maintainable, and robust.

I've worked in all sorts of places — factories, banks, hospitals, government offices — so I've seen how different industries approach data and software, for better or worse. I design the data systems, make sure things don't break (too often), and help the team build stuff that actually gets used.

I do the whole data spectrum: warehouses, data lakes, ETL pipelines, cloud infrastructure. AWS, Azure, GCP — I've spent enough time in each to know their quirks. I also enjoy helping others get up to speed with modern data and development tools.

Interests

Outside of work? I'm a bit of a Linux nerd — I enjoy tinkering with my dev setup and trying out new tools. I'm also a PC gamer — you'll find me playing Dota 2 or exploring single-player fantasy RPGs like Baldur's Gate, The Witcher, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

I lead an active life through strength training, and I get my cardio in through bicycling and running. When I manage to step away from the computer, I like getting outside — Finland has some pretty great nature for that. I'm also into football and a lifelong fan of Real Madrid, and I really enjoy basketball as well.

I'm also into sports — I'm a football fan (Hala Madrid!) and I really enjoy watching and playing basketball.
